Man dies after crash - Cromer

A man has died following a crash in the Northern Beaches yesterday.

About 8.20pm (Friday 23 December 2022), emergency services were called to South Creek Road at Cromer, near the intersection of Inman Road, after reports a car struck a parked boat.

The front seat passenger of the Holden station wagon died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged 29.

The driver of the car – a 56-year-old man – was uninjured and taken to Northern Beaches Hospital for mandatory testing and was released pending further inquiries.

Officers attached to Northern Beaches Police Area Command established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic police.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash commenced.
