Man Dies After Crash Near Wagga Wagga

A man has died following a three-vehicle crash, near Wagga Wagga.

About 11:55am today (Friday 1 August 2025), emergency services were called to the Sturt Highway, near Lower Tarcutta Road, Tarcutta, about 50km north-east of Wagga Wagga, following reports of crash between two trucks and a SUV.

NSW Ambulance responded and found the male driver of the SUV trapped. He died at the scene.

The two male drivers of the trucks, 25 and 31, were taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers attached to Riverina Traffic Highway Patrol Command responded and established a crime scene. An investigation commenced, with assistance from the Crash Investigation Unit.

The Sturt Highway is closed between Tumbarumba Road and Hume Highway. Live updates are available from www.livetraffic.com.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
