Man dies after crash with truck - Kurnell

A man has died after a two-vehicle crash in Sydney's south.

About 12.50pm (Thursday 10 October 2019), emergency services were called to Captain Cook Drive, Kurnell, following reports a car and truck collided head-on.

The sole occupant of the car died at the scene and is yet to be formally identified.

The male driver of the truck was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics for shock and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from Sutherland Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Captain Cook Drive is closed in both directions and traffic diversions are in place. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and check www.livetraffic.com for further information.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
