Police and emergency services are currently on scene following a fatal head on collision in Darlington this morning.
It is believed the two cars collided on the Hamilton Highway just before 10.45am.
A yet to be formally identified man, who was the driver of one of the vehicles, died at the scene.
The driver and sole occupant of the other vehicle has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injures.
The Hamilton Highway is currently closed and diversions are in place.
