Man dies after fall in Clifton

A man has died after falling from a cliff south of Sydney today, NSW Police say.

About 12.40pm (Saturday 29 September 2018), emergency services were called to a cliff near the southern end of Seacliff Bridge at Clifton, following reports a man had fallen onto rocks.

Police have been told the man, aged in his 20s, was with friends when he slipped from the edge of the cliff and fell more than 40m.

Officers from Wollongong Police District attended and a crime scene was established.

Police Rescue retrieved the body late this afternoon.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
