A man has died in hospital after he fell from a vehicle in the state's west last week.
About 3.20am on Sunday 15 February 2026, emergency services were called to Hanrahans Lane, Black Springs, following reports of a man with serious injuries.
Police were told the alleged passenger of a utility - 21-year-old man - had fallen from the vehicle whilst it was travelling along the road.
The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
The driver - a 19-year-old woman - was later spoken to the police pending further inquiries.
A crime scene was established and officers attached to Chifley Police District, with the assistance from the Crash Investigation Unit, commenced an investigation into the incident.
About 10pm on Monday 16 February 2026, police were notified the man had died in the hospital.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
