Man dies after level crossing crash, NSW

A man is dead and a woman is injured after a train struck a utility at a level crossing in the state’s Central West this morning, NSW Police say.

Emergency services were called to Kiatacoo Road at Euabalong, 170km west of Parkes, after a Toyota Hilux utility was struck by a train about 7am today (Friday 14 December 2018).

A man, believed to be in his 40s, died at the scene while the woman, believed to be aged in her 50s, is being treated in Lake Cargellico Hospital for shoulder injuries.

Officers from Central West Police District are at the scene and conducting inquiries.
