Man dies after serious crash - Woodpark

A man has died following a serious crash in Sydney's west earlier today.

Just after 11.30am, emergency services were called to the intersection of Warren Road and Liverpool-Parramatta Transitway at Woodpark, after reports of a serious crash involving a bus and a car.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command attended along with NSW Ambulance paramedics.

The male, driver and sole occupant, aged in his 20s, was trapped and died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

The bus driver, a 58-year-old woman, was uninjured and taken to Westmead Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene has been established and examined by specialist officers attached to the Metropolitan Crash Investigations Unit.

An investigation has commenced into the circumstance surrounding the crash and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information or dashcam footage from the area, is urged to come forward.
