Man dies after shooting - Condell Park

Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Sydney's south-west this morning.

Emergency services were called to Simmat Avenue, Condell Park, after reports of a shooting about 7.30am (Monday 19 October).

A man was found with multiple gunshot wounds nearby. Despite the efforts of emergency services, he died on scene.

Officers from Bankstown Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation with assistance from the Homicide Squad.

Simmat Avenue and Curtin Place are closed in both directions, with local diversions in place. Police are advising the community to avoid the area.
