Man Dies After Suspected Hit-and-run At Richmond

An investigation is underway into a suspected hit-and-run in Sydney's north-west a short time ago.

Emergency services were called to Old Kurrajong Road at Richmond about 7.45pm (Sunday 16 November 2025), after a passing motorist noticed a man lying about 3m from the roadway.

They stopped and rendered assistance until NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived; however, the man died at the scene.

The man is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged in his 20s.

Initial inquiries indicate the man may have been struck by a vehicle, which has not stopped.

A crime scene has been established by officers attached to Hawkesbury Police Area Command with Old Kurrajong Road closed between Bells Line of Road and Pughs Lagoon.

Specialists from the Crash Investigation Unit are enroute to the scene to assist local police.
