A man has died after being pulled from the water on the Mid North Coast earlier today.
About 11.10am (Monday 26 January 2026), emergency services were called to Trial Bay beach, following reports of a concern for welfare.
Officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District arrived to find an unresponsive man, believed to be aged in his 80s, had been pulled from the water by members of the public.
The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.
An investigation has commenced into the incident and a report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
