Man dies following Bochara crash

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a fatal crash in Bochara, Victoria Police say.

It is understood a car was travelling west along the Glenelg Highway near Hamilton when it lost control around a bend and struck a tree about 5.50am.

The male driver and sole occupant, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be established and the investigation is ongoing.

Road closures are currently in place near the corner of Glenelg Highway and Henty Highway, with traffic being diverted north towards Cavendish.

A temporary diversion is also in place Wannon-Nigretta Falls Road, with cars and B-double trucks to be diverted towards either Coleraine or Cavendish.
