Man dies following crash in Reservoir

Greensborough Highway Patrol officers are currently on the scene of a fatal crash which occurred in Reservoir earlier this morning.

The crash happened on Radford Road when the driver of a Holden Commodore crashed into the rear of a parked tray truck just before 3am.

The driver, a man in his 30s, died at the scene while his male passenger, aged in his late 20s to early 30s, was conveyed to hospital with life threatening injuries.

The tray truck, which was parked on the side of the road, was unoccupied.

The driver is still to be formally identified.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone who saw the red Holden SS Commodore sedan travelling north on Radford Road prior to the collision.
