Man dies from injuries after restaurant fire at Parramatta

A man has died following a restaurant fire in Sydney's west last month.

About 9.50pm on Tuesday 21 June 2022, emergency services were called to a business on River Road West, Parramatta, following reports of a fire.

On arrival, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were told an employee was using cleaning product before it caught alight.

The 24-year-old was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before he was taken to hospital, where he has later died.

The fire is not being treated as suspicious.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.

SafeWork NSW have been notified.
