Police will prepare a report for the Coroner following a fatal crash which occurred in Corindhap near Ballarat earlier this evening.
The single-vehicle crash happened on the Colac - Ballarat Road just after 5.30pm.
Investigators believe the vehicle was travelling south- west towards Rokewood when it left the roadway and struck a tree.
The male driver, who was the sole occupant, died on the way to hospital.
