Man dies in hospital after dog attack in Tregear

A man has died in hospital after he was attacked by two dogs in Sydney's west earlier this year.

About 1pm on Thursday 24 January 2019, emergency services were called to a home on Vincennes Avenue, Tregear following reports of a dog attack.

On arrival officers from Mount Druitt Police Area Command found a 40-year-old man suffering multiple bites and in cardiac arrest.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.

The man remained in hospital where he died yesterday afternoon (Friday 1 March 2019).

A 39-year-old woman and her 10-year-old daughter were also taken to Westmead Hospital at the time for treatment for minor injuries.

The dogs were surrendered to the council.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
