A man has died, and a police operation is underway after a stabbing in Sydney's Inner West today.
About 12.05pm today (Friday 13 August 2021), emergency services were called to Marrickville Road, Marrickville, after reports a man had been stabbed.
Officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command attended and found a man with wounds to his upper body.
Despite efforts to revive him, the man died at the scene.
As part of ongoing inquiries, a police operation is underway on Denison Road, Dulwich Hill.
Marrickville Road is closed between Wardell and Livingstone roads with traffic diversions in place.
The public is advised to avoid the area.
