Man dies, search underway for second - Kurnell

One man has died and the search continues for a second after they were swept off rocks at Kurnell, in Sydney's south.

Emergency services were called to Potter Point at Kurnell just after 12.30pm today (Friday 17 April 2020), following reports two rock-fishermen were in difficulty after falling into the water.

One of the men was located and retrieved; however, he died at the scene.

A large search is underway for the second man, involving police from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command, PolAir, police divers and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

Both men are aged in their late 60s.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
