Police have charged a man with 60 traffic-related offences allegedly committed on the same day across the Ipswich, Brisbane and Logan Districts on 1 January.
Around 4.45pm, Highway Patrol officers were conducting routine patrols along Waterford Tamborine Road at Logan Village when, it is alleged, a learner driver riding a motorbike with hidden registration plates sped past them at 113 kilometres/hour in an 80 kilometre/hour speed zone.
The officers located the male rider at his home a short distance away.
Police commenced an investigation into the man and allegedly detected 60 traffic-related offences that day across multiple districts, including the rider standing on the seat of his motorcycle while conducting a wheelie travelling at 114 kilometres /hour along the Pacific Motorway at Eight Mile Plains.
Yesterday, the 22-year-old Logan Village man was charged with 60 offences including 10 counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving without a drivers licence, disobeying the speed limit, overtaking to the left of a vehicle, proceeding through red traffic light, lane filtering between slow or stationary vehicles on motorbikes.
He is scheduled to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 21January.
