Man faces court over North Haven assault and break-in, SA

Detectives from Western Adelaide CIB have arrested a man following an investigation into a break-in and assault at a North Haven home last month, according to SA Police.

About 8.15pm on Saturday 29 April, four men allegedly forced entry to a Military Road home, and then assaulted a woman at the address, causing her minor injuries.

Before entering the address, two shots were allegedly fired at the front door of the property, however no one was struck by the rounds.

The men then fled the property and were last seen running west on Washington Street before getting into a small silver car, which drove north on Brooklyn Terrace.

Police believe this was not a random incident.

A 41-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with aggravated acts to endanger life, aggravated serious criminal trespass and firearms offences. He was refused bail and will appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court today.

Investigations are continuing with regard to the remaining three men.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has information that can assist police is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au
