Man flung from ute in Elaine

A man has sustained life-threatening injuries after being flung from the back of a ute in the state's west last night., Victoria Police say

The vehicle was travelling along Dollys Creek Road, Elaine, about 6.20pm when the incident occurred.

The 24-year-old Laverton man was taken to hospital.

Police have charged the alleged driver of the ute, a 29-year-old Mount Edgerton man, with dangerous driving causing serious injury.

He was bailed to appear in the Ballarat Magistrates' Court on 23 November.
