Man found with gunshot wound; investigation underway - Canley Vale

Police are investigating after a man was found with a gunshot wound in Sydney's south-west overnight.

About 12.25am (Thursday 23 May 2019), emergency services were called to a park on Avenel Street and Sackville Street, Canley Vale, following reports a man sustained a gunshot wound to his forearm.

A 37-year-old man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic officers.
