Man in court after 0.303 reading in Tuncurry

A man will face court in northern NSW next month after returning a blood alcohol reading over 0.30, NSW Police say0

About 2.10pm on Wednesday 13 September 2017, police responded to a complaint from another motorist about the way a Mercedes van was being driver on The Lakes Way at Tuncurry.

It will be alleged the van had travelled onto the incorrect side of the road and narrowly avoided a number of collisions.

Highway patrol police found the van on the side of the road, near the intersection of ------. The driver was asleep at the wheel

A roadside breath test returned a positive result and a subsequent breath analysis at Forster Police Station returned an alleged reading of 0.303.

The 47-year-old Toongabbie man was charged with driving with a high range PCA and his licence was suspended.

He will appear in Forster Local Court on Wednesday 4 October 2017.
