A man will face court today after allegedly indecently assaulting a toddler at the weekend.
About 5pm yesterday (Sunday 19 January 2020), a man approached a two-year-old child in a pram at an aquarium on Wheat Road, Sydney.
The man did not know the child or his family.
Following a brief interaction, it is alleged he kissed the child on the lips, before the child’s parent pushed him away.
The incident was reported to police, and officers attached to Sydney City Police Area Command arrived a short time later.
The 28-year-old man, an Indian National, was arrested and taken to Day Street Police Station where he was charged with intentionally sexually touch child under 10 years.
He was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court today (Monday 20 January 2020).
