Man in court on firearms charges

A man will face court today after police allegedly found two firearms in his vehicle on Friday night.

Crime Gangs Task Force officers stopped and searched a vehicle in Thebarton about 9.30pm on Friday 16 February.

It will be alleged officers located a covert military .22 firearm and an air rifle.

The 41-year-old Dutton man was arrested and charged with two counts of possess a firearm without a licence and possess ammunition without a licence.

He was refused police bail and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today, Monday 19 February.
