Man in court over drug supply - Strike Force Delrine

A man will face court today charged over the alleged supply of drugs across Sydney's west.

In September 2021, detectives from Blacktown Police Area Command established Strike Force Delrine and uncovered an alleged drug-supply syndicate operating across Sydney's west.

During the course of the investigation, strike force investigators seized cannabis, cannabis oil, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)-infused products, more than $18,000 cash, documentation, laptops, tablets and electronic devices.

Following further inquiries, detectives arrested a 22-year-old man at a home in Bass Hill about 10.30am yesterday (Monday 27 March 2023).

The man was taken to Bankstown Police Station, where was charged with five offences, including breach of bail, two counts of supply prohibited drug including one more than large commercial quantity, participate criminal group – contribute to criminal activity, and deal with property – proceeds of crime.

Police will allege in court that the man had been distributing prohibited THC-infused lollies before selling the confectionary as prohibited drugs.

He was refused bail to appear at Bankstown Local Court today (Tuesday 28 March 2023).

Investigations under Strike Force Delrine are continuing.
