A motorcycle rider has been injured after a crash in the states Hunter region yesterday.
About 7.40pm (Thursday 30 October 2025), officers attached to Port-Stephens Hunter Police District attempted to stop an allegedly unregistered motorcycle on Kingstown Road, Woodbury.
Police will allege the rider slowed to allow the pillion passenger off the bike before he fled into a home on Kingstown Road.
The rider of the motorcycle – a 28-year-old man – allegedly accelerated away from police losing control and hitting a pole before coming into contact with a police vehicle.
Police assisted the rider before the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics.
The man was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.
The incident will form part of an internal review and inquiries into the incident are continuing.
