Man injured during brawl in Mascot

Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was injured during a brawl at Mascot overnight, NSW Police say.

About 9.45pm (Saturday 11 November 2017), police were called to the corner of Coward Street and Botany Road where they found approximately 20 men fighting.

Officers from Botany Bay Local Area Command broke up the fight before a number of the men involved fled.

A 20-year-old man was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital where he received treatment to a laceration on his arm, believed to have been caused by a knife.

An investigation into the incident is underway and police are appealing for public assistance in an attempt to locate those involved.

Anyone witnesses are urged to come forward.
