Man injured in Festival Plaza fall

A man is in hospital after falling from the Festival Plaza concourse last night.

About 2.15am on Tuesday 16 May, Police approached the young man at the Festival Plaza as part of an investigation into a nearby theft.

After speaking with police for several minutes, the man ran off and jumped off the balcony.

He fell several metres onto the ground below.

Officers provided first aid and the 20-year-old Gepps Cross man was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital in a critical condition.

Investigations into the incident are continuing.
