Man injured in firearms incident, South Australia

Northern District Police are investigating an incident in the northern suburbs after a man presented to the Lyell McEwin Hospital with a gunshot wound.

Just on 10pm on Thursday 18 January, police were called to the hospital after a 26-year-old man presented at the emergency section with two small shrapnel wounds to the leg believed to have come from a firearm.

Police have spoken to the man, but he has refused to provide details as to how the incident occurred.

The leg injuries are not life threatening.
