A man has been arrested after a public place shooting in Sydney' west yesterday evening.
About 8.45pm yesterday (Sunday 8 March 2026), emergency services were called to a Northcott Road, Lalor Park, following reports of a public place shooting.
Officers attached to Riverstone Police Area Command arrived and were told unknown people had fired multiple gunshots from a home hitting a man who was on the street.
The 29-year-old man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for a gunshot injury before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.
The injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Police established a crime scene with Riverstone detectives investigating the incident.
Following a coordinated response by specialist officers, about 3am today (Monday 9 March 2026), a 46-year-old man was arrested at an address on Northcott Road.
He has been taken to Riverstone Police Station where inquiries are ongoing.
