Man intercepted following Hume Freeway pursuit

A Doncaster man will face court over a range of speeding offences after being intercepted on the Hume Freeway near Broadford yesterday, Victoria Police say.

The driver, a 44-year-old man driving a hire car, was detected driving at 60km/h over the posted speed limit near Seymour at 2.15pm.

The driver failed to stop but was eventually intercepted near Broadford after police deployed stop sticks.

The man is expected to be charged with speed dangerous, evade police, fail to stop and a number of other traffic related charges.
