Man missing from Surry Hills located

A man reported missing from Surry Hills has been located safe and well.

The 72-year-old was last seen at an aged care facility on Albion Street about 1.30pm today (Saturday 27 August 2022).

When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Surry Hills Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into Langer's whereabouts.

Following inquiries and a public appeal – including a geo-target SMS alert – he was located safe and well at Central Station about 4pm today (Sunday 28 August 2022).

Police would like to thank the public and media for their assistance.
