This week, King's College London hosted NVIDIA's AI Safety and Security Research forum at the London Institute for Healthcare Engineering (LIHE).

The forum brought together UK business leaders, academics, and security experts to discuss AI safety and security. The event featured a fireside chat with CEO and Co-Founder of world leading AI and accelerated computing company NVIDIA, Jensen Huang.
Guests also heard from industry leading speakers about the science of AI safety and the engineering required to protect national security.
Jensen Huang, who co-founded NVIDIA in 1993, was welcomed to LIHE by Professor Sir Bashir M. Al-Hashimi, Senior Vice President (Research & Special Initiatives) and Professor Sebastien Ourselin FREng FMedSci, Assistant Principal (Innovation).
It was a pleasure to welcome Jensen Huang, NVIDIA's CEO alongside other national and global leaders in AI safety and security to King's for this important discussion. AI offers significant opportunities but also complex societal challenges. Universities have a vital role in providing the research, evidence and expertise to shape its future, particularly in safety, security and ethical use. Through our AI Institute and AI+ investment, King's is helping advance the innovation, evidence and talent needed for responsible AI development and deployment for good.
