Man refuses breath test outside school, NSW

A man who allegedly refused to submit to a roadside breath test outside a Hunters Hill primary school will appear in court in April, NSW Police say.

Just after 3pm yesterday (Wednesday 21 February 2018), police were called to Alexandra Street in relation to a man who had attended the school to collect children.

When police arrived, they requested the man take a roadside breath test. He was arrested and taken to Ryde Police Station after allegedly refusing to take the test.

It will be alleged the man also refused to undertake a breath analysis at the police station, and he was subsequently issued a court attendance notice for failing to submit to a breath analysis.

He is expected to appear at Burwood Local Court on Monday 2 April 2018.

A notification has also been made to Family and Community Services.
