Man reported following multiple car crash at Parafield, SA

A man has been reported following a five car crash at the intersection of Kings Road and Main North Road, Parafield Gardens last night, according to SA Police.

Just after 6.30pm, Wednesday 17 August, police and emergency services responded to reports of a multiple car crash.

It will be alleged the driver of a grey Nissan Pulsar sedan, a 35-year-old man from Salisbury North, went through a red light, causing the collision. He was reported for dangerous driving, disobeying a traffic light and drink driving. The man also tested positive to a roadside drug test. He may face further charges once the sample has been analysed. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

The driver and the passenger of the Nissan Pulsar were both taken to hospital. The driver received minor injuries and was taken to the Lyell McEwin Hospital while the passenger went to the Royal Adelaide Hospital with serious injuries.

Thankfully no-one else was injured. Traffic was disrupted for several hours.
