Man robbed of phone at Mitchell Park , SA

Sturt Detectives are investigating an incident last night where a man was assaulted and robbed in his Mitchell Park home by a man wielding a tomahawk, according to SA Police.

Just before 9.30pm on Monday 19 September, a man answered the front door to his Alawoona Avenue home, only to be confronted by a man wearing a balaclava and carrying a tomahawk.

The armed man threatened the resident demanding cash, a short struggle occurred between the two men, before the suspect fled with the victim's mobile phone and cigarettes.

The victim received minor injuries in the incident.

The suspect described as about 178cms tall, with a stocky build, wearing a black jumper and light blue trackpants.
