A man’s body has been found after a house fire in the state’s south overnight, NSW Police say.
About 11pm today, emergency services were called to a villa on Gordon Street, Young, and found the building be well alight.
After the blaze was extinguished by fire fighters, the body of a 60-year-old man was located inside the premises.
A crime scene was established which is being examined by forensic specialists.
The cause of the fire is not known at this stage; however, it is being treated as suspicious until further information is known.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
