Police searching for a man missing in the Maitland area have today located a body.
Officers from Port Stephens-Hunter Police District have been searching for a 61-year-old man, who was last seen on Monday 24 June 2019.
About 10am today (Monday 8 July 2019), police were called to bushland south of Telarah train station, after reports a body had been located.
While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing man.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
Police would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
