Police are currently at the scene of a serious assault at Ascot Park, according to SA Police.
Just after 12.30pm on Sunday 2 October, patrols were called to Beaconsfield Avenue after reports of an elderly man having been assaulted.
An 86-year-old from Ascot Park was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre with serious head injuries.
A 28-year-old woman from Edwardstown, who is known to the victim, has been taken into custody and is assisting Detectives from Sturt CIB with their enquiries.
