Man seriously injured after Wagga Wagga stabbing, NSW

Police believe a man in his mid-40s might be able to assist with inquiries into the stabbing of another man in Wagga Wagga today, NSW Police say.

About 12.10am (Friday 31 August 2018), police were called to a unit block on Marshall Street at Ashmont, in Wagga Wagga’s western suburbs.

Police found a 44-year-old man with wounds to his neck. He was taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital to undergo further treatment.

Initial inquiries suggest the 44-year-old was involved in a fight with another man, who is known to him.

Police would like to speak to a man described as 175cm-180cm tall, with a thin build and of Caucasian appearance. He has a fair complexion, brown cropped hair and blue-green eyes. The man also has a small tattoo underneath his left eye.
