Man shot - Wagga Wagga, NSW

Police are investigating after a man was shot in the state’s Riverina region, NSW Police say.

Just after 11pm yesterday, emergency services were called to Mill Street, Wagga Wagga, following reports of shots fired.

Officers from Wagga Wagga Local Area Command attended and located a 34-year-old man, with a gunshot wound to his thigh.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

A crime scene was established which was examined by specialist forensic officers.

At this stage, police believe this was a targeted incident.
