Man sought after armed robbery - Cabramatta

Police have appealed for information from the public after an armed robbery at a service station in Cabramatta this morning.

About 4.20am today (Tuesday 30 April 2019), a man entered a service station on Cabramatta Road West wearing a balaclava and armed with a long barrelled, firearm.

The man demanded cash from the lone male operator and fled with the proceeds of the robbery.

It is believed the man fled to a motor vehicle and was driven from the area by a co-offender.

The vehicle was described as having a loud exhaust.

The service station operator was not physically injured.

Police from Fairfield Police Area Command were called and established a crime scene, whilst several other vehicles searched the area unsuccessfully.

The man has been described to police as being 164cm tall with a chubby build. At the time of the robbery he wore a black balaclava and carried a long barrelled, firearm.
