North District Detectives have released a photo-fit image of a man sought over a serious assault at Elizabeth Vale, that has left the victim with a fractured skull.
At around 9.30pm on Tuesday 26 November, a man was delivering shopping catalogues in Treves Street, when he was approached by a man armed with possibly a metal pole or stick and struck in the right side of the head near his eye.
The male suspect then ran off, up Treves Road into Siddall Road.
The 69-year-old victim, managed to walk to his nearby home, but was then conveyed to the Lyell McEwin Hospital, where he was admitted and diagnosed with a fractured skull.
The suspect is described as a man of Aboriginal appearance, between 30-40-years-old, about 180cms tall, average build with curly black hair and unshaven with about 3-4 day growth. He was wearing a dark coloured top and light brown coloured trousers.
A photo-fit computer generated image of the suspect has been released to assist the investigation.
