Man stabbed at Guildford

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed in Sydney's west tonight.

Emergency services were called to a home on Randolph Street, Guildford, just before 12.30am (Saturday 1 June 2019), after reports a man had been injured.

Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command attended and found the injured man suffering wounds to his face, back, and legs.

Police have been told, when the 25-year-old man walked out to the driveway at the front of the home, he was approached by a man armed with a knife and stabbed. The armed man then fled.

The injured man was treated by paramedics and taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

A crime scene was established at the home as detectives investigate.
