Man stabbed at Noarlunga Centre, SA

South Coast police are investigating a disturbance last night at Noarlunga Centre where a man was stabbed in the stomach, according to SA Police.

Just after 1am on Friday 8 December, two men were leaving a licensed premises when they saw a group of people allegedly damaging property with shopping trolleys.

The two men attempted to intervene, when one of the men was assaulted and stabbed with what was believed to be a screwdriver.

The injured 42-year-old man from the southern suburbs, was taken to the Flinders Medical Centre in a stable condition where he has undergone treatment for a single stab wound. His condition is not considered life-threatening.

Police patrols searched the area but were unable to locate the group of up to five men involved, one wearing a white bum bag.

South Coast Police are also checking CCTV cameras in the area, anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
