Man stabbed at Penrith

An investigation is underway following an alleged stabbing in Sydney's west overnight.

About 11.50pm (Saturday 1 May 2021), emergency services responded to reports of an injured man in a car park on Mulgoa Road, near the intersection of Jamison Road, Penrith.

Upon arrival, officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command found a man with a stab wound to his side.

The 19-year-old man was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to the Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

A crime scene was established, and an investigation commenced into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Inquiries are continuing.
