A man has been rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital, after he was stabbed at Smithfield Plains earlier tonight, according to SA Police.
Just before 8.30pm, police and ambulance crews responded to an incident in Buchanan Road where a man had been stabbed several times.
The man in his 40's was treated at the scene, before being rushed to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where he's undergone emergency surgery. His condition is currently stable.
Prior to police arrival, the alleged suspect who is known to the victim, climbed onto the roof of the home where the incident occurred.
Police including STAR group officers have cordoned off the home and are currently attempting to negotiate with the man.
Police wish to reenforce this incident is not random with the victim and the suspect are both known to each other.
