Man stabbed in home invasion in Toongabbie

A man was stabbed during a home invasion in Sydney’s west overnight, NSW Police say.

Just before midnight, two men with their faces covered forced entry into a home on Derbyshire Avenue, Toongabbie.

The 43-year-old male occupant became involved in struggle the men, before he received a minor stab wound to the buttocks, and other minor lacerations.

The two men then fled the scene. The victim was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers from Parramatta PAC established a crime scene which is being forensically examined.
