Man stabbed in Wyong

Police are investigating after a man was stabbed on the Central Coast last night, NSW Police say.

About 8.40pm today, a white Holden Commodore with four occupants – two men and two women – was travelling on the Pacific Highway at Wyong.

Police have been told the men were involved in an argument, when one of them was stabbed.

The injured man, aged 35, exited the vehicle with one of the women, near Wyong Hospital. He was taken to John Hunter Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

The second man and woman left in the Commodore.

Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

The Pacific Highway was closed for a short time while the scene was examined.

Police would like to speak to a man and a woman who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or the identity of the man and woman is urged to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
